Kerdonis: expertise in care

A family-run group founded in 1999 in Pontivy (Morbihan), Kerdonis' core business is medical and social care. Over more than twenty years, Kerdonis has developed expertise in the areas of care and nursing. In 2023, Kerdonis owned and operated 10 retirement homes and serviced residences for senior citizens. It employed more than 450 people in the service of residents.

First steps in the hotel business

In 2010, Kerdonis began acquiring and developing hotels in the west of France, the Group's home region, in perfect harmony with the teams' culture of hospitality and care.

The Group quickly came to own and operate hotels on a human scale in almost every market segment, from super-economical to 4-star with thalassotherapy. Kerdonis now operates hotels under Accor (Mercure, Ibis, Ibis budget, Ibis Styles, etc.), Best Western and Louvre Hôtels franchises, as well as independent boutique hotels.

The shift towards Hospitality

In 2023, Kerdonis will be handing over its senior residences and retirement homes to a major mutualist operator, who will be able to take over and support residents and staff.

The new generation of the family will consolidate the strategy of developing the hotel business, positioning itself more on the mid-range and top-of-the-range segment, focusing on dynamic and attractive urban centres.

New talents are joining Kerdonis to provide better support for managers and their teams. From the head office in Vannes, the multidisciplinary support teams provide day-to-day operational monitoring and management of the Group's sites.

A strategy for the future

Today, Kerdonis owns and operates more than 20 hotels in the budget, mid-range and top-of-the-range segments. It is stepping up its investment policy in the hotel sector, with 5 new acquisitions in 2024, in Ile de France and Brittany.

Anticipating the challenges facing the sector, such as changing consumption and travel patterns and the ecological transition, Kerdonis is pursuing its hotel acquisition and development strategy, while maintaining the human-scale family model that has made it a success.
